In preparation for the start of the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, and under the auspices of Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, President of the University, and Professor Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University, represented by the Education and Student Affairs Sector, announced a set of regulations and instructions governing course registration, academic advising procedures, and tuition fees. This is in line with the Faculty's commitment to facilitating academic procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of the educational process according to the credit-hour system.
The Faculty also announced that registration for courses for the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year will be open from Sunday, July 12, 2026, until Thursday, July 16, 2026. The Faculty emphasized that registration will not be available after the specified period and urged all students to adhere to the announced dates and complete the registration procedures within the designated timeframe. The college clarified that tuition fees for the summer semester in general programs are 400 Egyptian pounds per credit hour, according to Zagazig University Council Resolution No. (600) issued on May 19, 2026. Fees must be paid electronically through the Fawry service.
Regarding course registration, the college confirmed that the registration process is as follows:
• Consultation with the academic advisor or program coordinator to determine the required courses, especially failed courses or courses the student has not yet passed.
• Completion of the paper course registration form.
• Payment of fees electronically.
• Completion of the online registration through the Zagazig University website.
The college also indicated that the maximum number of credit hours to register for during the summer semester is 9, while graduating students are permitted to register for 12 credit hours.
The college confirmed that all inquiries related to the summer semester will be answered through the Academic Advising System, which includes:
• The General Program Coordinator.
• The Academic Program Coordinator. • Director of the College's Academic Advising Unit.
• Academic Advising Coordinator for the Program.
• Academic Advisor assigned to each student.
⭕The College also announced the formation of the Academic Advising Team for the new programs, which includes:
• Assistant Professor Dr. Doaa Mohamed Mostafa Mohamed Mahmoud, Director of the College's Academic Advising Unit.
• Professor Dr. Mona Salah Abdullah, Coordinator of the English Language Teacher for Primary Grades and Community Education Program.
• Dr. Alaa El-Din Mohamed Hussein Ismail, Coordinator of the Educational Technology Specialist for People with Disabilities Program.
• Dr. Khaled Ahmed El-Refaey Abdel-Rahman, Coordinator of the Computer Science Teacher for People with Disabilities Program.
⭕The College also clarified the formation of Academic Advising Coordinators in the academic departments, as follows:
• Professor Dr. Rehab Mohamed Ali Ismail – Department of Home Economics.
• Professor Dr. Iman Gamal El-Sayed Ghoneim – Department of Educational Technology.
• Professor Dr. Amira Mohamed Abdel-Aziz – Department of Music Education.
• Assistant Professor Dr. Rehab Ahmed Mohamed Kamal El-Awsi – Department of Art Education. • Assistant Professor Dr. Abdo Ramadan Al-Sadiq Saqr – Department of Educational Media.
• Dr. Shaimaa Mohamed Abdel Aziz Suleiman – Department of Classroom Teacher and Community Education.
⭕Regarding the rules for progression between academic levels under the credit-hour system, the college clarified that students must complete the following to advance to each level:
•Advance to the second level after completing at least 30 credit hours.
•Advance to the third level after completing at least 68 credit hours.
•Advance to the fourth level after completing at least 106 credit hours.
⭕The college also indicated that graduation requires the completion of 148 credit hours in most programs, while the Educational Technology and Computer Teacher programs require the completion of 150 credit hours.
Professor Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that the faculty continues to develop its academic advising and educational services system to provide the best possible support for students and ensure the proper selection of courses according to approved academic plans. He pointed out that academic advising is a fundamental pillar in the success of the credit-hour system and contributes to empowering students to effectively plan their academic journey until graduation.
For his part, Professor Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the faculty was keen to announce all the regulations and procedures governing registration well before the start of the summer semester. He urged students to contact their academic advisors and program and department coordinators before registering for courses and to adhere to the announced instructions to ensure correct registration and avoid any obstacles that might affect their academic progress.
