As part of the intensive preparations for the start of the second semester (spring session) exams for the 2025/2026 academic year, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Specific Education held an expanded meeting of its Programs Committee on Monday, May 4, 2026, to discuss and approve the theoretical and practical exam schedules, and to follow up on the mechanisms for implementing the exams during the period from May 2 to May 25, 2026. The meeting also included developing a work plan that encompasses preparing a daily report on the progress of the practical exams and overseeing the printing of the exams.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, and Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. Also in attendance were Professor Dr. Salah Sharaf, General Coordinator of the Faculty's Distinguished Programs; Professor Dr. Hanem Khaled, Head of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences; Professor Dr. Iman Shaaban, Head of the Department of Educational Technology; Professor Dr. Iman Gamal, Coordinator of the Computer Teacher Preparation Program for People with Disabilities; Professor Dr. Amr Fathy, Coordinator of the English Language Teacher Preparation Program for Primary Grades and Community Education; and Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Coordinator of the Educational Technology Specialist Preparation Program for People with Disabilities.
The meeting approved the examination schedules and emphasized the implementation of electronic examinations for the distinguished programs, including the Educational Technology Specialist Preparation Program for People with Disabilities and the Computer Teacher Preparation Program for People with Disabilities. These examinations will be held at the university's electronic testing center, following the successful pilot and trial exam recently conducted, demonstrating the Faculty's readiness to efficiently implement the digital assessment system. Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that the Faculty is steadily progressing towards developing its assessment and examination system in accordance with the latest technological systems. He pointed out that the adoption of schedules and the organization of implementation mechanisms are part of the commitment to ensuring discipline and equal opportunities for all students, and guaranteeing that examinations are conducted in a civilized and organized manner.
For his part, Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the Faculty administration is working on continuous coordination between the various departments and programs to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations. He emphasized the commitment to preparing daily follow-up reports to monitor any issues and address them immediately, confirming the Faculty's readiness at both the organizational and technical levels.
The meeting concluded by stressing the importance of continued coordination and teamwork among all stakeholders, which will contribute to the success of the examination system and present a distinguished model that reflects the development of institutional performance within the Faculty and enhances its ability to keep pace with the requirements of digital transformation in university education.
