The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University is hosting the "DBS – Design Beyond Screens" event in cooperation with the Egyptian Youth Entity to promote digital creativity and youth leadership.


⭕As part of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University's commitment to supporting impactful youth initiatives, empowering students to acquire future skills, and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation, the Faculty hosted a distinguished event entitled "DBS – Design Beyond Screens," in collaboration with the Egyptian Youth Organization in Sharqia Governorate, affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The event took place on Monday, April 27, 2026, in Lecture Hall (B) of the Home Economics Building at 10:00 AM, and witnessed a large student turnout and significant interaction from various academic departments.

⭕The event was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty. Also in attendance were Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Ramadan, Director of the Student Welfare Department at the Faculty, along with a number of faculty members, their assistants, and students.

The day's events began with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, reflecting a spirit of belonging and national identity, before the main program commenced.

The event was presented by Engineer Adham Ashraf from the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Engineer Mohamed Fayad, the Sharqia Governorate coordinator for the Egyptian Youth Initiative. The event covered several specialized topics in digital design and user interface/user experience (UI/UX), showcasing the latest design trends, real-world job market experiences, and opportunities for professional networking with specialists. This aimed to broaden students' horizons and develop their creative abilities.

The event also saw the participation of several supporting and sponsoring organizations, including Dos Benzin, Red Bull, and Isis, lending it a professional character and highlighting the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and the private sector in supporting youth activities. Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the College, affirmed that hosting such high-quality events aligns with the college's vision of preparing students equipped with the tools of the modern age, combining academic excellence with contemporary practical skills. He noted that supporting youth initiatives represents a genuine investment in students' energies and creative abilities.

For his part, Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the college is committed to providing a stimulating university environment conducive to innovation and positive interaction. This is achieved by hosting events that broaden students' horizons and connect them with the demands of the job market and the rapid advancements in digital fields.

Dr. Mahmoud Ramadan, Director of the Student Welfare Department at the college, emphasized that the department continuously supports purposeful student activities and provides genuine spaces for creativity and learning outside the classroom. This is accomplished through organizing and hosting events that develop students' skills and refine their practical experience. He added that cooperation with youth organizations and various institutions contributes to preparing a generation capable of assuming responsibility, keeping pace with modern developments, and actively participating in serving society and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The event concluded with high praise from attendees for the organizational level and the content presented, emphasizing the importance of continuing such initiatives that contribute to building a conscious and qualified generation, capable of competing, innovating, and actively participating in the development process and building the new republic.
