Cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Specific Education to promote health culture and digital transformation.

As part of the Faculty of Specific Education's strategy to expand institutional partnerships and maximize the utilization of integrated expertise within Zagazig University, and under the auspices of Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, the University President, the Faculty signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Faculty of Pharmacy on Sunday, February 15, 2026. This significant step aims to support health awareness, enhance the use of modern technology in the educational process, and build human capacities capable of meeting the demands of the new republic.

⭕The protocol was signed in the presence of the leadership of both faculties. Professor Shaimaa Mostafa El-Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Professor Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, signed the protocol, stemming from both parties' belief in the importance of unifying academic and scientific efforts to serve students, faculty members, and staff, and to strengthen the university's community role.

⭕The protocol aims to implement a package of awareness programs offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy. These programs include, for example, the safe use of medication, the dangers of taking medication without medical consultation, drug-food interactions, and awareness of the rational use of antibiotics, thus contributing to raising health awareness within the university community.

⭕In return, the Faculty of Specific Education offers its expertise in educational technology, digital content design, and learning resource management, in addition to organizing specialized training programs in artificial intelligence tools, cybersecurity, and information security. This supports institutional development efforts and the building of modern educational environments capable of keeping pace with rapid transformations.

⭕The protocol also stipulates the formation of a joint technical committee from both sides to plan activities, monitor their implementation, and ensure the achievement of agreed-upon objectives within professional and legal frameworks that regulate intellectual property rights, maintain confidentiality, and support the sustainability of cooperation.

⭕In a statement, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky affirmed that this protocol represents a model of knowledge integration within the university, where health expertise intersects with technological expertise in a unified path that serves people before places. He added that the Faculty of Specific Education places its scientific and technical capabilities at the service of serious partnerships that enhance the efficiency of the educational process and contribute to preparing graduates who possess both health awareness and digital skills, which aligns with the state's directions towards building a knowledge society.

His Excellency concluded by emphasizing that the next phase will witness the swift and practical implementation of the agreement's provisions through high-quality programs and workshops that will have a tangible impact on students and faculty members of both colleges.

The signing of this protocol represents a new step in the university and college's journey toward strengthening inter-faculty cooperation, establishing a culture of collaborative work, and transforming academic expertise into effective applied initiatives. This will support the quality of education, maximize its societal impact, and confirm that Zagazig University is steadily progressing toward a more integrated and innovative future.
