A distinguished presence of the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University at the Productive Colleges Festival… Student creativity translates knowledge into developmental value.


In a scene reflecting the university's institutional awareness of its role in serving the community and promoting sustainable development, and under the patronage of Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, President of the University, Professor Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Professor Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Specific Education made a notable appearance at the annual Festival of Productive Faculties. The festival, held as part of the 22nd Environment Festival, took place in the Faculty of Arts courtyard on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in the presence of university leaders and deans and vice deans of faculties concerned with community service and environmental development.

The faculty's participation came through its Home Economics and Art Education departments. The exhibits reflected an advanced level of academic and applied maturity, and a genuine ability to transform educational experiences into value-added products that combine quality, aesthetic appeal, and social benefit. The works on display ranged from artistic creations and repurposed products to production models embodying the philosophy of efficient resource utilization, clearly aligned with the state's direction towards a green economy and the maximization of creative industries.

⭕The college leadership was keen to be present on the ground and provide direct oversight. The events were attended by Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the College; Professor Dr. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Dr. Safinaz Samir, Acting Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Head of the Home Economics Department. This reflects a deep belief in the importance of applied learning and support for everything that highlights students' capabilities and opens broader horizons for them to connect with the job market.

⭕Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the College, emphasized that the college's participation in this event is a practical implementation of a clear strategy adopted by the administration, based on maximizing the utilization of student potential and linking educational outcomes to the needs of society and the job market. He added that the Faculty of Specific Education possesses a wealth of experience in the fields of creative industries and home economics, which qualifies it to be a key partner in the developmental and environmental initiatives launched by the university.

For his part, Professor Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that the festival represents an important platform for highlighting the faculty's community role and promoting a culture of environmentally responsible production. He noted that the students' presentations reflect an advanced awareness of the values ​​of sustainability, reuse, and resource conservation, as well as their ability to innovate and offer practical, applicable solutions.
