Following the directives of the university administration, a specialized engineering committee inspected the basement of the Faculty of Specific Education to ensure the safety of the facilities.


⭕As part of Zagazig University's commitment to regularly monitoring the safety of its buildings and enhancing their operational efficiency, and under the auspices of His Excellency Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of the University, the Faculty of Specific Education received a technical committee from the Engineering Department on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The committee's purpose was to assess the structural condition of the faculty's basement and identify the causes of the water leak, paving the way for the necessary technical measures to address the issue.

⭕The committee, comprised of Engineer Mahmoud Yahya and Engineer Islam Ibrahim, conducted a comprehensive field inspection of the leak locations. They recommended the necessity of carrying out thorough inspection and testing of the water supply pipes and fire suppression systems, in addition to reviewing the drainage manholes. This will ensure the precise identification of the source of the problem and the development of appropriate engineering solutions in accordance with approved standards.

⭕The inspection was conducted in the presence of Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, who oversaw the on-site inspection process. He emphasized the importance of swift action to maintain the building's safety, protect its infrastructure, and guarantee a safe and stable learning environment for students, faculty members, and staff. In this context, the Dean of the College stated that the college administration prioritizes periodic maintenance and facility safety, stemming from its institutional responsibility and its commitment to promptly addressing any technical issues in full coordination with the relevant university departments. He added that continuous on-site monitoring contributes to anticipating and addressing problems at their root, thus supporting the smooth operation of the educational process and preserving the college's resources.

The college affirms its continued full cooperation with the Engineering Department and its commitment to working according to a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing the efficiency and development of its facilities.
