In the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and its Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs… an expanded meeting of the Department of Educational Media to enhance the academic advising system.


⭕As part of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University's commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of the educational process and the quality of academic services provided to students, and under the auspices of His Excellency Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of the University, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, an expanded meeting was held with faculty members and teaching assistants in the Department of Educational Media. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, and Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

⭕The meeting discussed mechanisms for activating academic advising during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, methods for organizing the assignment of students to academic advisors, and monitoring course registration according to approved regulations. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of adhering to the prerequisites for each course to ensure a well-structured academic path that helps students progress academically in a sound manner.

Professor Akmal Shawky emphasized that academic advising is a cornerstone of the credit-hour system's success, given its direct role in guiding students and helping them make informed educational decisions. He stressed the importance of collaboration between the college administration and academic departments to ensure genuine and effective support for students, which will positively impact the quality of educational outcomes.

Professor Ehab Atef explained that the college prioritizes monitoring registration procedures and ensuring students are aware of their study plans. He affirmed that adherence to registration rules and prerequisites ensures academic fairness, prevents academic difficulties, and supports a smooth start to the academic year.

The meeting featured a constructive dialogue on several implementation proposals aimed at improving monitoring mechanisms and streamlining procedures for students, within a framework of cooperation and shared responsibility among all parties. ⭕At the conclusion of the meeting, the college administration affirmed its continued commitment to providing all forms of support to the academic departments, and to working as one team to ensure an organized and stimulating educational environment that contributes to preparing a graduate who possesses the scientific and professional competence capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and serving the community.
