The Council of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University promotes the path of academic development and institutional quality in its session No. (193).


In line with Zagazig University's commitment to establishing the principles of good governance and supporting academic and institutional development, and under the auspices of His Excellency Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of the University, His Excellency Professor Dr. Ehab El-Biblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, His Excellency Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Her Excellency Professor Dr. Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Specific Education Council convened its 193rd session on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, chaired by Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Council. The session addressed a range of academic and administrative matters aimed at enhancing the educational process, strengthening the quality of study programs, and fostering innovation and excellence within the Faculty.

⭕The Council's work reflected the University's vision for modernizing the educational system, reinforcing the Faculty's role in serving the community, and building generations capable of creativity and competition in various specialized fields.

The meeting was held in the presence of the college's vice deans, heads of academic departments, and faculty representatives, reflecting the integration of institutional roles within the college and emphasizing the participatory approach to academic decision-making.

The council discussed a range of topics and decisions, most notably:

First: Academic Affairs and Study Programs
The council discussed several key issues related to the development of educational programs, including:

• Approving the results of the first semester (fall session) of the 2025/2026 academic year for undergraduate students under the credit-hour system, including both general and new programs.

• Approving the study plans and lecture schedules for the second semester (spring session), in accordance with the approved academic standards and to ensure the continuity of the educational process.

• Discussing the external review reports for the programs, in light of quality and accreditation standards, to enhance the college's readiness for program and institutional accreditation. 📌Second: Graduate Studies and Scientific Research
The Council gave special attention to graduate studies, where it:

•Discussed and approved a number of research proposals, supporting the scientific research path related to quality education issues.

•Approved the organization and updating of some interdisciplinary programs to keep pace with labor market demands and modern research trends.

📌Third: Faculty Affairs
The Council addressed a number of topics related to organizing academic work, including:

•Approving the partial secondment of some faculty members to teach specific courses, according to the actual needs of the study programs.

•Adopting regulatory controls aimed at ensuring academic fairness, protecting students' rights, and promoting discipline within the educational process.

📌Fourth: Government Excellence and Institutional Quality
In line with the state's direction towards government excellence, the Council discussed:

•Establishing and activating the Government Excellence Unit within the college, and defining its tasks and responsibilities.

•Adopting mechanisms to recognize outstanding work teams, which promotes a culture of excellence and motivates sustainable institutional performance.

📌Fifth: Community Service and Environmental Development

The Council emphasized the importance of the college's community role through:

•Integrating the concepts of community service and environmental sustainability into academic programs and student activities.

•Supporting initiatives that strengthen the college's connection with the local community and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

⭕In his address, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that the Council's decisions are part of a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at enhancing the quality of education and developing academic programs to meet contemporary needs. He stressed that the college is moving steadily towards promoting academic excellence and aligning educational outcomes with the needs of society and the labor market.

⭕He added that supporting student creativity and focusing on applied scientific research are two fundamental pillars of the college's strategy for the coming phase.

⭕Session No. (193) of the Faculty of Specific Education Council reflected a clear direction towards:
