A qualitative brilliance translates creativity into podiums of triumph The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University wins advanced awards at the “Seventh Creativity” Forum in Assiut 2026.


⭕As part of Zagazig University's ongoing support for student activities and its commitment to fostering creativity as a fundamental pillar of the educational process, and under the generous patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

⭕With the active participation of the Heads of Departments: Professor Dr. Reham Ehab Zayed, Head of the Department of Music Education and General Coordinator of Activities at the Faculty; Professor Dr. Safinaz Samir, Head of the Department of Home Economics; Professor Dr. Younis Mustafa, Head of the Department of Art Education; and Professor Dr. Iman Shaaban, Head of the Department of Educational Technology, who played a pivotal role in supporting and motivating students to excel and actively participate.

The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University achieved commendable results during its participation in the 7th Creativity Forum for Faculties of Specific Education at Egyptian Universities, hosted by Assiut University in 2026. Students from the faculty garnered several awards and top rankings in various artistic, musical, and technological fields, reflecting the excellence of the academic programs and the richness of the educational experience.

Abdullah Mahmoud Kahila, a first-year student in the Music Education Department, received the Encouragement Award for Outstanding Student with Special Needs, while Abdullah Mahmoud Mohamed received the Jury's Encouragement Award for Solo Performance, in recognition of his outstanding artistic performance and as a clear embodiment of the faculty's policy of supporting inclusion and empowerment.

The participation was marked by outstanding performances in the Art Education Department, where student Mariam Hossam Abdel Rahman won first place in drawing. Karim Farag, a student with a hearing impairment, secured third place in oil painting. Rawan Hani Hassan also achieved third place in sculpture, and Amal Mohamed Ibrahim earned a joint third place in ceramics. Mariam Abdel Hafez Mohamed secured third place in design. In the woodworking category, Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed Mostafa, a student with a hearing impairment, distinguished himself with a remarkable participation that reflected the students' creativity and resilience in overcoming challenges.

In the Music Education Department, the college students delivered exceptional performances, culminating in the group singing and instrumental performances winning third place. Additionally, Nidal Walid El Sayed achieved third place in solo singing. The Educational Technology Department also made a strong showing at the forum, with student Hazem Abdel Aal Mohamed Ali winning third place in educational software, Abu Bakr Mahmoud Mohamed taking third place in photography, and Ashraf Ramadan Shaaban securing third place in documentary filmmaking. This reflects the department's excellence in utilizing digital technology and visual media to enhance the educational process.

In the Home Economics Department, students showcased a number of handcrafted items that blended tradition and modernity. Abrar Othman Mohamed Suleiman won first place in embroidery, Reham Abdullah Abdel Rahman earned third place in crochet, and Israa Mohamed Ibrahim tied for second place in knitting. Zainab Abdel Hamid Ahmed capped off the department's success by winning first place in fashion design, earning praise from the judging panel for her precision and speed of execution. In a statement, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that these results reflect the faculty's strategy of nurturing gifted students and supporting people with disabilities, translating academic courses into competitive achievements at the national level. He added that this accomplishment is the fruit of collaborative work and integration between faculty members and students, and embodies the university's vision of investing in creativity and innovation.

For his part, Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, praised the outstanding performance of the faculty's students, emphasizing that their active participation in the 2026 Creativity Forum represents a genuine platform for discovering and developing talents, and promoting the values ​​of inclusion and educational equity, in line with the requirements of comprehensive development.
