In a significant academic achievement that embodies the commitment of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University to implementing quality and accreditation standards, the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) announced that the Music Education and Art Education programs have received institutional accreditation. These programs join the Home Economics program, which had previously received accreditation, bringing the total number of accredited programs at the faculty to three leading academic programs.
This new accreditation underscores the faculty's commitment to implementing its development plans and aligning its educational outcomes with labor market demands. It also reinforces its position among the most committed specialized faculties in applying comprehensive quality standards.
The faculty expressed its deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, President of the University; His Excellency Professor Ehab El-Biblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; His Excellency Professor Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Her Excellency Professor Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Marwa Abbas, Director of the University's Quality Assurance Center, in recognition of their supportive role and continuous follow-up on the accreditation process within the faculty. The college also expressed its appreciation for the efforts of its current and former academic leaders, most notably Professor Hani Helmy, the former Dean; Professor Akmal Shawky, the current Dean and former Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, for their scientific and administrative contributions that led to this exceptional success.
The college extended special thanks to Professor Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and former Head of the Music Education Department; Professor Reham Ehab, the current Head of the Music Education Department and Coordinator of the Music Education Program; Professor Ghada Shoaib, former Head of the Art Education Department; Professor Younis Mustafa, the current Head of the Department; and Professor Mohamed Mahmoud, Coordinator of the Art Education Program, as well as the faculty members and teaching assistants whose efforts formed the cornerstone of this accreditation.
☐ The college also commended the pivotal role of Professor Dr. Hanan Al-Sadiq, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, for her fruitful cooperation and continuous coordination among all program coordinators and standards heads, and for activating the role of the Quality Assurance Unit. Furthermore, the college acknowledged the ongoing coordination between internal reviewers at the college and reviewers at the university's Quality Assurance Center. The college also appreciated the efforts of Professor Dr. Salah Sharif, the visit coordinator, and Professor Dr. Awatif Bahij, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Center, for their continuous support of the programs. The college also thanked Professor Dr. Samah Abdel-Fattah, Director of the Exhibitions and Conferences Unit, as well as the experts, administrators, security personnel, and staff who contributed to the visit's success.
Commenting on this achievement, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the College, affirmed that the accreditation of the Music and Art Education programs represents a significant turning point in the college's institutional development and reflects a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of the educational process according to the highest accreditation standards. His Excellency explained that this achievement was not a sudden occurrence, but rather the fruit of tireless effort and creative collaboration among all members of the college. He noted that the college will continue working diligently to secure accreditation for the remaining programs in the coming period, in line with Zagazig University's vision of achieving knowledge leadership and fostering an innovative academic environment capable of graduating distinguished professionals who meet the needs of society.
With this new accreditation, the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University continues its bright journey towards academic excellence, based on a clear vision, insightful leadership, and a team that believes quality is not merely a goal, but a culture and a daily practice. As the number of accredited programs within the college increases, its position as one of the leading academic institutions in Egypt is strengthened, capable of providing high-quality education and supporting the university's plans to build a conscious and capable generation, able to keep pace with the demands of the times and contribute to the nation's advancement and the realization of Egypt's Vision 2030.
