The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University promotes digital transformation: training e-learning coordinators on the Thinqi system.


⭕In line with Zagazig University's strategic direction towards enhancing digital transformation and activating modern learning management systems, and under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Specific Education presented a specialized training workshop for e-learning coordinators in the academic departments on Sunday, January 25, 2026. The workshop focused on training participants on the Thinqi learning management system and was conducted via Microsoft Teams.

⭕The workshop was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Akmal Shawky Gaballah, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and was led by Prof. Dr. Iman Shaaban, Head of the Department of Educational Technology and Computer Science and Director of the University's E-Learning Unit, under the supervision of the Faculty's E-Learning and E-Testing Unit, headed by Prof. Dr. Samah Zaghloul.

The training was supervised by Professor Dr. Iman Shaaban and Professor Dr. Rasha Wali, the college's e-learning coordinator. During the workshop, they addressed the mechanisms for activating courses on the Thinqi platform, managing educational content, methods for uploading lectures and assignments, and assessment and follow-up systems. This ensures improved quality of the educational process and supports the skills of faculty members and department coordinators.

In his address, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky emphasized that activating e-learning is no longer an option but a strategic necessity dictated by quality standards and the developments in modern university education. He noted that the college is taking steady steps to develop the capabilities of its staff and achieve comprehensive digital readiness across all academic programs.

Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, the college's Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, explained that enhancing the e-learning skills of department coordinators is a crucial step in ensuring students receive a distinguished educational service. He added that the college is committed to providing all forms of technical support to ensure the platform's efficient implementation. ⭕For her part, Professor Dr. Iman Shaaban, Head of the Educational Technology Department, emphasized that the training represents a pivotal stage in implementing one of the most important requirements for academic quality. She explained that the Thinqi platform provides an integrated learning environment that keeps pace with global trends and effectively enhances interaction between students and faculty members.

⭕The workshop concluded with an emphasis on the continued technical follow-up of activation processes within the academic departments and ensuring the readiness of all programs to fully integrate with the Thinqi system during the current semester. This will contribute to raising the efficiency of the educational process and achieving institutional excellence for the Faculty of Specific Education.
