A high-level technical committee inspects the buildings of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University… and urgent measures are taken to enhance safety and improve the efficiency of the infrastructure.


⭕In line with the directives of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and the follow-up of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Her Excellency Prof. Dr. Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of the University's Engineering Consultant, Dr. Wadid William, the Faculty of Specific Education witnessed an extensive inspection visit today, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, by the Technical Committee headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Selim, to review the latest developments regarding building safety and improving the efficiency of the faculty's facilities.

⭕The committee was accompanied during its tour by Prof. Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty. The visit began with a review of the urgent maintenance work on the restrooms and an assessment of the progress being made in addressing the technical observations. The committee also inspected the condition of the basement and the impact of groundwater on the building's safety, in addition to evaluating the water pumps in the various faculty buildings to ensure their operational efficiency.

The tour also included a review of the safety of the entrance to the Home Economics building and an assessment of the readiness of the pathways leading to the lecture halls. The committee paid particular attention to the visual identity of the buildings and methods for protecting the architectural facades from the effects of air conditioning condensate, ensuring a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing appearance and a safe learning environment.

In his remarks, Professor Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, stated that the faculty administration prioritizes infrastructure development. He emphasized that this visit is part of the university's ongoing support for developing facilities and improving the quality of services provided to students and faculty members. He added that the faculty is working systematically to implement all technical recommendations to ensure a safe, modern, and conducive learning environment for achieving the highest level of academic performance.

The Dean stressed that all measures taken are primarily aimed at serving students and providing a stimulating and comprehensive learning environment. He called upon all students to cooperate and preserve the faculty's buildings and facilities, considering them a shared asset. ⭕The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University affirms that development efforts are ongoing and that work is proceeding steadily to implement a comprehensive plan to improve the efficiency of buildings and facilities, reflecting the firm institutional orientation towards quality and excellence, and supporting the educational and research process in accordance with the Egyptian State’s 2030 vision and high university performance standards.
