Student Islam Hassouna, from Zagazig University, wins silver in the Egyptian Universities Futsal Championship.
In an honorable sporting achievement, Islam Hassouna, a fourth-year student in the Educational Technology Department at the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, won the silver medal and second place in the Egyptian Universities Futsal Championship, held at the Abu Qir Youth City, amidst fierce competition from various Egyptian universities.
On this occasion, Prof. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, congratulated Islam Hassouna on this achievement, emphasizing that the faculty is proud of its distinguished students in various academic, athletic, and artistic fields. He noted that this victory reflects the university's efforts to support student talent and encourage them to achieve excellence both inside and outside the classroom.
Prof. Ihab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, also expressed his happiness with this victory, emphasizing the importance of sports as a fundamental element in building a university student's character and enhancing their physical and mental abilities. He affirmed the faculty's continued support for various sporting activities that contribute to achieving a balance between academics and athletic talent. For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Ramadan, Director General of Youth Care at the college, emphasized that this victory is the result of the students' efforts, continuous training, and ongoing support from the college and university. He praised the outstanding performance of student Islam Hassouna during the tournament and hoped for further achievements in future tournaments.
