Within the framework of Zagazig University's keenness to enhance and support student creativity and develop theatrical skills, and under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Drandali, President of Zagazig University, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hilal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Akmal Shawky, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nadia Muhammad Abdel-Hafiz, Head of the Department of Educational Media, the Department of Educational Media at the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University organized a theatrical performance entitled "Personal Status" on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 AD, as part of the graduation project for fourth-level students in the School Theater Specialist Preparation Department for the first semester 2024-2025 AD. The theatrical and musical performances witnessed a high-level presence of academic leaders and prominent artistic figures, including His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdel Hakim Nour El Din, former Vice President of the University, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ihab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Akmal Shawky, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Reham Ehab, Professor and Head of the Department of Music Education, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Samah Abdel Fattah, Director of the Exhibitions and Conferences Organization Unit at the College, Dr. Gamal Abdel Samee, and Dr. Younis Mustafa. The presence was also honored by the artist Youssef El Basyouni, Mr. Mohamed El Sayed, Director of Mass Culture, and Mr. Sayed Abdullah, General Supervisor of Theater Education in Sharkia, in addition to a number of theater education supervisors, most notably Mrs. Amani El Toukhi, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Mr. Nazih Najm, and Mr. Sherif El-Sayed, amidst a large attendance of faculty members, assistant and administrative staff, and students' families, which gave the event a distinct festive atmosphere.
The performances began with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt, followed by a national parade about the glorious October War, followed by a singing segment entitled "Ya Ma'afir", then the monologue "The Frisky Wife", after which, the audience enjoyed a brilliant singing performance of the song "Henheb Min Ghairah". The artistic segments concluded with the theatrical performance "Personal Status", which was well received by the audience, who praised the students' professional performance and their ability to address social issues in a sophisticated artistic style.
It is worth noting that the artistic and directing supervision of the theatrical and entertainment performances was undertaken by a group of faculty members in the School Theater Specialist Preparation Department, led by Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Fathy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Amina Amer, Dr. Mahni Saleh, and Dr. Duaa Khalil, who worked to guide and support the students in developing their theatrical skills and employing them effectively, reflecting their extensive experience in preparing young theatrical cadres and refining their academic and artistic skills. In this regard, Her Excellency Prof. Dr. Nadia Mohamed Abdel Hafez, Head of the Educational Media Department, confirmed that this year's graduation projects were distinguished by creativity and integration, praising the "Personal Status" show as a unique model in investing in theatrical arts to address social issues in innovative ways. She also expressed her pride in the level of performance of the students, which reflects the department's commitment to preparing cadres capable of meeting the needs of the labor market in the artistic and educational fields, stressing the department's continued support for all activities that contribute to advancing the educational and training process.
