The Training Unit of Zagazig University holds a cultural symposium on “Moral Education in Educational Institutions.”


Within the framework of promoting moral and educational values ​​in educational institutions, the Training Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, organized a cultural symposium entitled "Moral Education in Educational Institutions", on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 AD, at exactly twelve noon in the Tahya Misr Hall in the new building. The symposium was held under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Drandali, President of Zagazig University, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. Its activities were chaired by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty, who pointed out in his opening speech the importance of consolidating moral values ​​in the academic community as the cornerstone in building generations capable of facing the challenges of the future. He stressed the college's commitment to providing an educational environment that consolidates moral values, praising the role of His Excellency Assistant Professor Dr. Amira Abdel Aziz, Director of the Training Unit in organizing such awareness events. The symposium was attended by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Marri, former Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, who reviewed pioneering experiences in activating moral education within educational institutions, pointing out the need to integrate academic and community efforts to consolidate these values. He also expressed his appreciation for the college's efforts in supporting educational programs that aim to promote moral values, pointing out that moral education is not just an educational subject but a way of life that must be instilled in students.

For his part, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Adl, Professor of Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Education, stressed that moral education is an effective means to form an integrated personality capable of making responsible moral decisions, stressing the need to integrate it into curricula to enhance moral awareness among students.

The symposium was attended by a number of academic leaders, headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Akmal Shawky, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hassan Rabie, former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Fatima Gharib, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education at Mit Ghamr Complex. The heads of scientific departments also participated, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Reham Ehab, Professor and Head of the Department of Music Education, HE Prof. Dr. Safinaz Samir, Professor and Head of the Department of Home Economics, HE Prof. Dr. Hanem Khaled, Head of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, HE Prof. Dr. Hanan El-Sadek, Director of the Quality Unit at the College, and a group of faculty members and assistants, in addition to researchers and graduate students. The symposium concluded with recommendations emphasizing the need to enhance moral education at all educational levels, and to intensify cooperation between educational institutions and the local community to achieve this goal.
