Zagazig University celebrates the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Coptic Studies in Cairo.


Under the generous patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Drandali, President of Zagazig University, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and in cooperation with the Institute of Coptic Studies in Cairo, a delegation from the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University organized a high-level visit to the Institute of Coptic Studies. The delegation was led by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Specific Education and a professor at the Institute of Coptic Studies, accompanied by a team of students from the Department of Art Education at the college under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Heba Abdel Fattah, Professor at the Department of Art Education. The visit comes within the framework of enhancing academic and cultural cooperation between the two institutions, in accordance with the protocol signed between them. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Ishaq Ajban, Dean of the Institute of Coptic Studies in Cairo, where a distinguished artwork created by students of the Department of Art Education was presented to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Institute of Coptic Studies. This dedication is a symbol of appreciation and praise for the pioneering role played by the Institute in promoting cultural heritage and scientific research.

This visit comes within the framework of the ongoing preparations for the official celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Coptic Studies, a ceremony that will be honored by the presence of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark and Supreme President of the Institute.

In his speech, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ihab Atef stressed the importance of strengthening academic and cultural partnerships between educational institutions, which contributes to consolidating cultural and artistic values ​​and developing educational frameworks. It also highlights the role of the Faculty of Specific Education in supporting and developing students' talents, and shedding light on artistic creativity as a bridge for communication between generations and institutions.
