Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, the Music Sciences Program, headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Reham Ehab Zayed, Head of the Music Sciences Department, in cooperation with His Excellency Asst. Prof. Dr. Doaa Mustafa, Director of the Academic Guidance Unit at the Faculty, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Amira Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Academic Guidance Coordinator in the Department, organized a workshop aimed at raising awareness among first-level students about the mechanisms of academic guidance and registration for first-semester courses. The workshop was held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 AD, in Hall 610 of the Music Sciences Department, in the presence of a number of faculty members and assistant staff, to provide the necessary support to students at the beginning of their academic journey. Asst. Prof. Dr. Amira Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Academic Guidance Coordinator in the Department, expressed the importance of organizing these workshops periodically, pointing out their role in providing the necessary assistance to students to adapt to the university education system and understand the requirements of study, which contributes to enhancing a unique educational experience. Prof. Reham Ehab Zeid, Head of the Department of Music Sciences, stressed that organizing this workshop comes within the department’s strategy aimed at empowering students with academic guidance and effective guidance tools, stressing that the department seeks to create a supportive educational environment that raises students’ academic aspirations and puts them on the right track from the beginning of their university journey. She added that this interest is not limited to the academic aspect only, but extends to enhancing professional values ​​and building an integrated personality, which contributes to preparing a generation capable of competing and innovating in their future fields, based on a vision that seeks to achieve quality and scientific excellence.
