The Home Economics Teacher Preparation Program at Zagazig University organizes a series of workshops for academic guidance and course registration for the four levels.


Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, the Home Economics Teacher Preparation Program, headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Safinaz Samir Mohamed, Head of the Home Economics Department, and in cooperation with His Excellency Asst. Prof. Dr. Doaa Mustafa, Director of the Academic Guidance Unit at the Faculty, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Rehab Gomaa, Academic Guidance Coordinator at the Department, organized a series of academic workshops for the program students. This series included four consecutive workshops, each targeting students from one of the four levels of the program, for the purpose of registering for the first semester courses. The workshops concluded on Monday, October 28, 2024, for first-level students in Hall (C) in the new building at the Faculty, in the presence of a number of faculty members and assistants. The workshops aimed to educate students about the mechanisms of registering courses and answering their academic inquiries, which contributes to enhancing their readiness for the semester. Prof. Dr. Rehab Jumaa, the program's academic guidance coordinator, stressed the need to hold these workshops every semester, pointing out the pivotal role of academic guidance in creating a stimulating learning environment for students and providing them with the necessary tools to undergo a distinguished educational experience. She stressed that the program always seeks to support students at various stages of their studies, in order to prepare an aware and responsible generation. For her part, Prof. Dr. Safinaz Samir, Head of the Home Economics Department, stressed that these workshops come within the department's plan to enhance academic culture among students and provide them with the basic skills that enable them to organize their educational path effectively. She pointed out the importance of these meetings in building bridges of communication between students and faculty members, which contributes to improving their academic performance and developing their professional skills.
