Zagazig University celebrates the glorious October victories in the presence of prominent national leaders and public figures.


The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University organized a grand celebration on the occasion of the fifty-first anniversary of the glorious October victories, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 AD, in the Tahya Misr Hall at the college. The celebration was held under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Drandali, President of the University, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Jihan Youssef, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. This was attended by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Safinaz Samir, Head of the Department of Home Economics, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahdab El-Maadawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the College, a group of faculty members and their assistants at the College, and a large number of media professionals from the Media Complex in Sharkia. The celebration was attended by Major General Dr. Engineer Mustafa Hadhoud, former Governor of Beheira, who delivered an exceptional speech in which he stressed the greatness of the victories of the October War as a historical turning point that restored dignity and pride to the Egyptian people. Hadhoud explained that the October victory was not just a military victory, but rather a national epic in which all state institutions and the people participated, as the Egyptian Armed Forces demonstrated their superior ability to plan, implement and innovate in war strategies. He stressed that the spirit of October is not just a memory, but must be a constant source of inspiration in all areas of life, calling on young people to adopt the same spirit in construction, development and effective participation in pushing the nation towards progress. He concluded his speech by stressing the need to preserve the nation's gains and unify national efforts, pointing out that this fighting and national spirit is what will ensure a bright future for future generations. For his part, Eng. Lobna Abdel Aziz, Deputy Governor of Sharkia, praised in her speech the great efforts made by the Armed Forces in preserving the security and stability of the nation, stressing the need to unify the national ranks to preserve and develop the nation's gains. Media professional Dosouky Abdullah, General Manager of East Delta Media and Director of the Complex, discussed the role of the media in raising the morale of the Egyptian people during the October War and the importance of the media in strengthening national identity and belonging.

In his speech, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the College, pointed out the importance of celebrating this immortal anniversary and drawing lessons and morals from it, expressing the college's pride in organizing this event that enhances the spirit of patriotism and belonging among students. He also stressed the college's keenness to provide all support to students in their educational journey and educate them about their active role in building Egypt's future.

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, called in his speech to enhance communication between the university and the local community through these events that highlight national values ​​and deepen belonging among new generations, praising the efforts of the participants in organizing the celebration.
It is worth noting that the celebration was organized under the supervision of the Exhibitions and Conferences Organization Unit, headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Samah Abdel Fattah, Director of the Unit, and the membership of each of Assistant Professor Dr. Reham Hassan, Assistant Professor Dr. Samar Adel, and Assistant Professor Mai Abdel Aziz. On the sidelines of the celebration, Assistant Professor Nevin Ibrahim, a teaching assistant in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, presented a poetry segment in which she expressed her love for Egypt and its ancient history, while student Nidal Walid presented a singing segment under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Reham Hassan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Musical Sciences, which added a distinctive national atmosphere to the event. At the end of the celebration, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy addressed an inspiring message to the students and attendees, which included a set of important recommendations, where he stressed the importance of internal migration, emphasizing the need to consolidate love of the homeland and belonging, as it is the homeland that we have no alternative to. He pointed out the necessity of launching a real uprising that reflects the efforts of the Egyptian people in various fields, calling for tolerance and love as the main tools for success, as giving cannot continue without tolerance and satisfaction. He also stressed the importance of having a comprehensive vision and looking at all aspects, noting that each angle has its own goals that may not be clear to everyone. He concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of arming oneself with knowledge and perseverance in the field of research, stressing the need not to surrender or despair in the path of progress. The celebration concluded by honoring the guests of honor, with thanks and gratitude to those in charge of organizing this national event, amid an atmosphere filled with pride and honor in the memory of the glorious October victories.
