In a new achievement added to the record of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University, the "Green Hands" and "Interactive Book" projects qualified for the final stage at the level of Sharkia, Dakahlia and Damietta Governorates, within the activities of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects. This was announced during the regional conference that witnessed the announcement of the results of the winning projects, confirming the college's commitment to keeping pace with sustainable environmental transformation and effective participation in community initiatives. This success came under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Drandali, President of Zagazig University, who gave his full care and continuous support to the development projects submitted by the college, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Jihan Youssef, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, who praised and supported the college's efforts in presenting innovative projects that serve society and the environment, and His Excellency the Governor, Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharkia, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Jihan El-Shorbagy, General Coordinator of the Initiative at the University. In a special honoring ceremony today, Monday, September 23, 2024 AD, Prof. Dr. Samah Abdel Fattah was honored for the “Green Hands” project, and Prof. Dr. Naglaa Saeed Mohamed for the “Interactive Book” project, in the presence of His Excellency the Governor, Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharkia, who praised the projects presented by the Faculty of Specific Education, His Excellency Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ayman Al-Shahabi, Governor of Damietta. This came in a celebratory scene that reflected the attendees’ praise for the importance of these smart green projects in supporting sustainable environmental transformation. His Excellency Prof. Dr. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Head of the "Green Hands" Project and the "Interactive Book" Project, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Vice President of the two projects, extended their warmest congratulations and thanks to all those in charge of the projects, praising the distinguished efforts made to achieve this success, and stressed their continuous support and encouragement for all innovative ideas that serve the environment and support sustainable development. They also expressed their pride in this achievement, which is an important step towards enhancing the college's position and effective participation in environmental and development issues. It is worth noting that the college administration extended special thanks to His Excellency Prof. Dr. Samah Abdel Fattah, Executive Director of the Green Hands Project, which falls under the category of development projects related to women, climate change and sustainability, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Naglaa Saeed, Executive Director of the Interactive Book Project, which falls under the category of non-profit community initiatives and participations.
