The Board of Zagazig University today held an emergency meeting chaired by Dr.. Ashraf al-Shehhi, the university president on the occasion of the inauguration of the project development axis of the Suez Canal as an achievement a new record in the history of Egypt, where the council issued a statement saying:

Due to the adoption of Zagazig University for many years projects to support the development of Sinai, socially, culturally and research and because the university has been a pioneer in the creation of a specialized center for studies of the development of Sinai and where this national project requires a combination of all powerful people and institutions, particularly the Egyptian universities to accomplish in the deadline set by Mr. President. And the University of Zagazig put all the material and human potential in the service of this national project and national supercomputer at no charge. "
And ended up in the University Council emergency meeting to the following decisions:
First: Zagazig University offers all its expertise and capabilities of scientific and practical without charge to accomplish this giant national project.
Secondly, the organization of a permanent labor camps throughout the year of the masters and professors, staff and students to participate serious and effective project and not only just to identify it and to its development under the auspices and supervision of Prof. Dr. Rector.
Third: the formation of a delegation of university leaders to meet with officials about the management of the project to identify areas that could be involved in the project by the University and distributed geographically and qualitatively.
Fourth: The University organized a workshop (urgent and open) immediately upon completion of the previous item to enrich the dialogue on areas of contribution to the university and the immediate issuance of executive decisions under the supervision of Prof. Dr. / President of the University.
Fifth: the call seriously by colleges and centers of the university studies Sinai development work in a national research project all disciplines to serve the project and solving emerging problems and to study the development of Sinai real development in all aspects of economic, social and geo-engineering, and medical
Sixth: assigning gentlemen with college deans to prepare proposals for projects and research points to the completion of the proposed project and solving problems that impede development in the Sinai in all fields until the adoption of a plan of research, community, urgent Sinai University in implementation will begin immediately
Seventh: the establishment of a permanent center and headquarters in the Sinai, the University of Zagazig is outfitted to operate continuously even after the completion of the project to ensure continuity of support and development of Sinai and evaluate what is being achieved achievements
Eighth: facilitate the task of solving the problems of health workers to the project and socially Qantin eastern province of geographical space to provide conditions conducive to them for full-time work and production
