The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University is organizing a workshop entitled "Together Towards Institutional Accreditation" to enhance the college's readiness in accordance with the methodologies of the National Authority for Quality Ass


In its pursuit of institutional quality and excellence, and as part of its preparations for institutional accreditation, the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University, under the auspices of Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, University President, organized a workshop entitled "Together Towards Institutional Accreditation for Our Faculty in Light of Institutional Accreditation Methodologies According to the 2015 Revised Standards." The workshop, held this morning, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Lecture Hall (B) on the ground floor of the new building, was attended by faculty members and teaching assistants from all academic departments.

The workshop was also attended by Professor Hany Helmy, former Dean of the Faculty; Professor Safinaz Samir, Acting Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Head of the Home Economics Department; Professor Reham Ehab, Head of the Music Education Department; Professor Hanem Khaled, Head of the Educational and Psychological Sciences Department; Professor Shaimaa Fathy, Head of the Educational Media Department; and a number of other faculty members and teaching assistants.

Professor Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that the faculty is steadily progressing towards achieving institutional accreditation, based on its belief that quality has become a work culture and an institutional approach grounded in continuous development and performance improvement across all sectors. He pointed out that achieving institutional accreditation requires the concerted efforts of all faculty members, working as a unified team to ensure the provision of educational, research, and community services that meet contemporary demands and strengthen the faculty's academic standing. ⭕For her part, Professor Dr. Hanan Al-Sadiq Radwan, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, explained that the workshop is part of the unit's implementation plan aimed at building the capacities of faculty members and teaching assistants, and disseminating a culture of quality and accreditation within the college. She emphasized that achieving institutional accreditation depends on active participation and collective commitment to implementing quality standards and documenting institutional practices according to the requirements of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.

⭕The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Salah Sharif and Professor Dr. Awatif Bahij, who reviewed the institutional accreditation methodologies according to the 2015 revised edition. They explained the requirements of each standard, the mechanisms for fulfilling evidence and documentation, and best practices in preparing accreditation files. They also discussed the roles of academic units and departments in supporting the quality system and opened the floor for discussion with attendees to answer inquiries and exchange experiences, contributing to a unified vision and enhancing the college's readiness for institutional accreditation.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing that achieving institutional accreditation is a shared responsibility that requires integrated efforts and continued work in a spirit of commitment and development, which enhances the position of the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University among higher education institutions, and confirms its ability to provide high-quality university education, and prepare graduates who possess competence and excellence, and contribute effectively to serving the community and achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
