The Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University announces the academic regulations for registering for courses for students in general and new programs under the credit hour system.


Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Specific Education announced to students enrolled in its general and new fee-based programs—including Home Economics, Music Education, Art Education, Educational Technology, Educational Media, Classroom Teacher and Community Education, the English Language Teacher for Primary Grades and Community Education program (fee-based), and the Educational Technology Specialist for Students with Disabilities and Computer Teacher for Students with Disabilities (fee-based) programs—the necessity of adhering to the credit-hour system as stipulated in Articles (41), (44), and (45) of the Bachelor's Degree Internal Regulations. The minimum number of credit hours registered for each semester is set at 17.

The statement clarified that the articles pertaining to academic warnings stipulate that a student will receive an academic warning if their cumulative GPA falls below 2.0 in any semester. It emphasized that students will not be permitted to register for the following semester unless they meet the minimum credit hour requirement, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the educational process and maintain the required academic standards. Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, affirmed that these regulations are part of the faculty's efforts to ensure the quality of education and enhance student performance. He noted the faculty's commitment to monitoring students' academic performance and providing them with the necessary support to succeed and excel in various academic programs.

For his part, Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, indicated that the faculty administration has provided all means of academic advising for students. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the minimum credit hours and the academic warning system to ensure academic regularity and achieve a balance between academic effort and student achievement.

The faculty concluded its statement by affirming its ongoing commitment to developing the educational system and ensuring the excellence of the academic process, reflecting the university's vision of preparing conscious and qualified generations to contribute effectively to building an advanced knowledge-based society.
