In a scene reflecting the values of brotherhood and solidarity among the sons of the nation, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, Professor Dr. Ehab El-Beblawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Hanan El-Nahhas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Specific Education organized a national meeting entitled "National Unity," followed by an Iftar (breaking of the fast) meal, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The event was held under the supervision and in the presence of Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, and a number of deans and vice deans from Zagazig University, including Professor Dr. Hassan Rabie, former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Professor Dr. Fathi Hassan, former Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; Professor Dr. Abdel-Azim El-Atwany, former Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; Professor Dr. Hani Helmy, former Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; Professor Dr. Ahmed Hussein, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Professor Dr. Ahmed Askarah, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Professor Dr. Mohamed Nabih, Director of the International Students Unit at the University; and Professor Dr. Abdel-Rahman Omar. The Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs, along with several religious leaders, most notably Reverend Philip Fahim and Sheikh Ahmed Muslim Muhammad Shaaban, as well as the faculty's vice deans, heads of academic departments, faculty members, administrative staff, and students, attended the event.
This gathering was organized as part of the faculty's commitment to fostering the values of love, tolerance, and coexistence among members of the community, and to strengthening national identity. The event was characterized by a warm and friendly Ramadan atmosphere, embodying the noble meanings of the holy month and underscoring the deep human and national bonds that unite the people of our nation.

The communal iftar (breaking of the fast) served as a special social and humanitarian occasion, reinforcing the values of solidarity and closeness among the various segments of the university community, in a gathering that exemplified true national unity and social harmony. In this context, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that organizing such events reflects the university's mission to instill human and national values and promote a culture of coexistence among members of society. He pointed out that national unity is a fundamental pillar for the stability and progress of society. He added that the Faculty is always keen to organize social and cultural activities that contribute to strengthening human bonds among its members and solidifying the spirit of belonging and collaborative work within the university community.
