Chaired by the Dean of the College… An expanded meeting was held at the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University to enhance the regularity of the educational process and activate the role of academic advising.


⭕In line with the institution's commitment to the stability of the educational system and ensuring the quality of academic performance, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University, and Professor Dr. Helal Afifi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Specific Education held a comprehensive meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by Professor Dr. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Dr. Ehab Atef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Safinaz Samir, Acting Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, as well as heads of academic departments, faculty members, and teaching assistants.

⭕The meeting aimed to monitor the smooth progress of the educational process during the semester, assess adherence to the schedule of lectures and practical activities, and emphasize the importance of actively activating the role of academic advisors in guiding and supporting students academically. This contributes to building a well-structured academic path and minimizing any obstacles they may face.

The meeting included extensive discussions on mechanisms to enhance communication between faculty members and students, intensify academic follow-up, and ensure the clarity of regulations and controls governing the educational process, thereby achieving academic fairness and raising the overall level of performance.

In his address, Professor Dr. Akmal Shawky emphasized that the success of the educational process can only be achieved through the integration of roles between the college administration, faculty members, and teaching assistants. He stressed that academic advising is the cornerstone of the credit-hour system, given its direct role in supporting students academically and providing guidance. He added that the current phase requires the highest levels of discipline and commitment, and teamwork, to maintain the stability of studies and the quality of educational outcomes.

The meeting concluded with an affirmation of the continuation of periodic meetings to monitor the practical implementation of the recommendations and to promote a culture of shared responsibility, thereby solidifying the college's position as a leading academic institution that constantly strives to provide high-quality education based on excellence, discipline, and distinction.
