In line with the political leadership's directives to build the Egyptian human capital, and in continuation of the goals of the presidential initiative for human development, "A New Beginning," the Faculty of Specific Education at Zagazig University hosted artificial intelligence training activities on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 22 and 23, 2025. This training falls within the framework of the "Develop and Change" initiative, implemented by the General Administration of Youth - Youth Empowerment Department, in cooperation with the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Sharqia Governorate. The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Khaled El-Darandali, President of the University; His Excellency Prof. Gihan Yousry, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; His Excellency Prof. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; and His Excellency Prof. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development. This initiative comes in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports; under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharqia; and with the support of Ms. Manal Gamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry and Head of the Central Administration for Youth Empowerment; Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Azim, Undersecretary of the Ministry; and Dr. Ayman Abdel Maqsoud, Deputy Director of Youth, under the direct supervision of Mr. Mohamed Khalil, Director of the Youth Empowerment Department, and Dr. Ahmed Hammad, Director General of the General Administration of Youth.
The training activities were presented by Ms. Manar Adel, Public Relations Specialist at the Youth and Sports Directorate, within the framework of the strategic partnership with Microsoft and Care Egypt Foundation for Development. The training was held in Hall 309 of the College's Administration Building at 12:00 PM.
The training program aimed to empower youth with knowledge and skills in the fields of artificial intelligence, freelancing, and entrepreneurship, in line with the state's goals for digital transformation and human capital development, in line with Egypt Vision 2030, and under the umbrella of the Cabinet and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
In this context, Prof. Hani Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, stated that the College's hosting of this distinguished event reflects its deep belief in its societal mission and its commitment to actively participating in national initiatives aimed at developing youth capabilities and enhancing their skills to meet the challenges of the digital age.
Prof. Ahmed Badie, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, noted that this event is an extension of the college's ongoing role in building bridges of communication with civil society organizations and keeping pace with technological changes, contributing to enhancing youth readiness for the labor market and achieving integration between the academic and applied dimensions of the educational process.
The College of Specific Education affirms its ongoing commitment to supporting development initiatives aimed at honing the skills of youth and commends the efforts of the college's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in organizing this distinguished event, which embodies the fruitful partnership between the university and various state institutions.
